PCC Ribbon Cutting at FIGHT

Please join Philadelphia FIGHT, Mayor Michael Nutter, Congressman Bob Brady, and numerous members of the community on Tuesday, April 26 at 3 PM  as we officially open the first of 27 public computing centers we will manage alongside the City of Philadelphia’s Division of Technology and the Urban Affairs Coalition.  The Ribbon Cutting event will take place at FIGHT’s new Freedom Rings Partnership Critical Path Computer Lab at 1233 Locust Street, 3rd Floor.

FIGHT is one of thirteen local agencies participating in the program to provide broadband Internet access, computers and training to the most economically and socially vulnerable areas of the City, made possible through $18.2 million in grant funding through the Federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act’s Broadband Technology Opportunity Program.  More information about the program and FIGHT’s involvement can be found in the attached release.
